Intro to Roundcube Webmail

  1. Login
    1. Navigate to your Webmail URL. i.e (http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail)
    2. Once you have pulled up your webmail login page, enter your username. For example if your email address is john@yourdomain.com, enter john as your username.
    3. In the password section type the password you chose for your email. (Be aware that the password is case sensitive.)
    4. Click login. If you have entered your information correctly you will be redirected to your webmail inbox.
  2. Reading Your Mail
    1. Your Inbox will display all of your received emails.
    2. Unread and new mail is marked with a blue star
    3. To read a message double click on the subject of the message
      1. If the message contains images, you will be presented with the option to display images.
      2. To display the images simply click on the link “Display images.
  3. Writing Mail
    1. To write a message, click on the “Create New Message” icon. (paper and pencil)
    2. After clicking on the “Create New Message” icon you will be redirected to the mail composition page.
    3. In the recipient field, type the email address of the desired recipient. If you would like to send to multiple email addresses separate them with a semi-colon “;”
    4. The subject field is used to title the message in order to give the recipient an idea of what the message is about.
    5. Type the body of the message in the large field. You have the ability to style it just as you were styling a document in Microsoft Word using the toolbar above the content.
    6. To send the message click the “Send Now” button.
  4. Replying To Mail
    1. If you would like to reply to the message you are reading, simply click on the “Reply” icon. (an envelope and left pointed arrow)
    2. After clicking on the “Reply to Message” icon the “sender”, “recipient” and “subject” fields will be auto populated with the correct information.
    3. After writing your response in the message body click the send now button to send the reply message.
    4. In addition to sending a reply message to the original sender you also have the ability to reply to all recipients of the original message.
      1. To reply to all recipients of the message, open the message and click on the “Reply to All”icon. (two envelopes and a left pointing arrow)
      2. Like the reply feature this will auto-populate the appropriate information to send a reply to all of the recipients of the original message
  5. Forwarding Mail
    1. If you would like to “Forward” a message to a person, simply open the desired message and click on the “Forward Message” icon. (envelop with a right pointing arrow)
    2. Edit the message body as you wish and click the “Send Now” button when complete.
  6. Attachments
    1. In order to attach a file to an email message click on the “Attach File” icon (paper clip).
    2. In the left column click the browse button.
    3. Navigate to the file on your computer and click open,
    4. **Important** You must click upload in order to successfully attach the file to the message. (Be aware that the maximum file size for an attachment is 2mb)
    5. After clicking upload you will be able to see all attached files in the left sidebar.
    6. To attach an additional file click on the “+” icon and repeat the above steps.
    7. To remove a file from a message click on the red circle with a line through it.
  7. Spell Check
    1. To spell check a message click on the “Spell Check Icon.”(ABC and a check mark)
  8. Delete a Message
    1. To delete a message from your Inbox, highlight the message by clicking on the subject of the message once.
    2. Once the message is highlighted click on the “Move Message To Trash” icon. (Red circle with a line through it.)
  9. Logout
    1. To successfully logout of your webmail, click on the logout button in the top right hand side of the page.
    2. After clicking on the logout button you will be redirected to the original Webmail Login screen.
